Fashion stylists, also known as wardrobe stylists or celebrity stylists, are responsible for a crafting and coordinating garments and accessories to create outfits for a client. … Furthermore, fashion stylists may dress mannequins or clients for photo shoots and retail store displays.
Fashion stylists work for individuals, fashion houses and clothing brands. Their main responsibilities include providing fashion advice; choosing and co-ordinating outfits for models in photo shoots or actors in television and film; and choosing props and accessories and preparing them for shoots.
Costume designers combine elements of color and fabric textures to provide a visual understanding of characters in terms of age, social status, occupation and era. Their work can also create fashion statements and is a critical element in television shows, theater productions and movies.
At the same time the design must provide strong visual support of the story, concept and context of the play as a whole. It is the role to ensure that the costumes reflect the visual style of the production and help actors and models portray their characters on their journey through the play’s and photo shoots action.
